The Indiana Utility Regulatory
Commission today dismissed a request from State Line Energy, L.L.C. to build a
550-megawatt, gas-fired, electric generating facility in Lake County, Indiana.
In Cause 41590, the Commissioners
unanimously agreed to allow the company to withdraw its petition to build the
plant at its existing electric generating station in the City of Hammond, due
to concerns about availability of water.
