PEOPLES GAS AND POWER CORPORATION TO LOWER PRICES

Today the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission took action, which means that customers of Peoples Gas & Power Corporation will pay less to heat their homes in November.

In Cause No. 37441 GCA-71, the Commissions granted the company�s request to reconsider its order of October 3, 2001, to allow Peoples Gas & Power Corporation to pass along savings on gas to its customers.

The Commission will also allow the utility to lower its prices through its� tariff in December and January, if it is able to buy gas at a lower rate than it anticipated in October.
