- The seat belt cutter does not have a full width handgrip, with a protective blade to minimize risk
- The parking brake fails to hold the bus during the testing procedure. (Note – It is NOT a violation if the test cannot be done due to OEM design
- There is debris in the bus. (needs cleaned/includes dirt)
- There are loose items that would create a hazard. (Broom, Scraper, Items on dash etc.)
- The bus with a body build date of January 1, 2006 or after is not equipped with the noise suppression switch. EXEMPTION Type A buses - w/out noise making devices other OEM accessories not including two-way, AM/FM, Satellite, or similar.
- There is no brake certification, or the certification has expired or is not signed
- Exhaust leak exceeding one (1) inch measurable in any direction or half (½) inch in diameter.
- Any component has deteriorated and allows the escape of exhaust gases (with the engine idling and the system unrestricted)
- Step-well light is missing or inoperative
- There are any leaks from the differential, pinion seal, hubs or wheel seals
- Washers do not function properly in any manner
- Prohibited area sign is missing or obscured
- Prohibited area line is missing or improper
- Any required lettering is missing or faded.
- The reflective material is placed anywhere other than on the front and rear, or both, of the bus between the warning lamps; each side beltline, seat line, or floor line or all three (3); outlining each required emergency exit; or across the rear of the bus directly above the rear bumper.
