• The required low air-pressure warning device fails to operate properly
• Any brake line or hose is abraded (chafed), cracked, bulging or leaking (leaking at other than a proper connection).

• There is no brake certification form the certification is expired or is not signed within the six-month requirement

• Any marker light or lens is missing, cracked, faded, wrong color, or inoperative

• The service door does not open or close properly
• Any stop arm light is inoperative
• Stop arm does not fully extend to a right angle to the bus
• Stop arm lights do not flash

• If any window does not meet the optional criteria; vinyl wrap covers windows, tint not in compliance with IC 9-19-19-4
• The bus body has loose, damaged or improperly aligned body parts. These would include rivets, bolts, and body panels and/or rub rails
• There is debris in the bus. (needs cleaned/includes dirt)

• Required back-up lights do not function.

• Audible warning device, when required, is not working properly. Buzzers are required after 5-2-94

• The bus body has rust or rusted through areas which may weaken the body.
• Crossmember is rusted sufficiently to weaken floor supports.
• There is evidence of damage or rust-through.
• A defroster motor is inoperative at any speed.
• There is debris in the bus. (needs cleaned) includes dirt
