Morgan County Prosecutor - Steven P Sonnega
Steven P. Sonnega has been the Morgan County Prosecutor since January 1, 1991. Prosecutor Sonnega started his career as a deputy prosecutor in Morgan County in 1985 and was promoted to chief deputy prosecutor in 1988. He has served as the president of the Association of Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys and as president of the Morgan County Bar Association. He graduated from Michigan State University and the Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington. He is also a colonel in the Indiana National Guard and has served one tour of duty with the 76th Infantry Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sonnega has served 24) years in the Indiana National Guard. He is currently assigned as the Staff Judge Advocate with the 38th Infantry Division.
