When You Can Expect to Hear from INPRS: PERF & TRF Hybrid Members

If you have ever placed an item you don’t want to forget by the door before leaving, you know it’s easier to remember something when it’s near or in sight.

We lead busy lives and have many things to consistently keep track of, like the money we’re using now. The money we’re not using now is better left out of sight while we let compounding work its magic.

Because of this, many of us may not continuously check our retirement plans. Before we know it, we’re vested. What about when we’re eligible for retirement? These are two milestones we don’t want to forget. INPRS is here to keep you informed on your retirement journey, and we will communicate important information about your plan so that you have one less thing to add to your list of reminders.

As a PERF or TRF Hybrid member, you will hear from INPRS:

When you achieve milestones

  • With five years of service credit, you may become eligible for PERF or TRF disability benefits if you are eligible for Social Security disability.
  • When you become vested with 10 years of total service credit.

Annually

  • About a month or so after your birth month, you will receive an annual member statement for your PERF or TRF Hybrid Plan. This statement will arrive first by mail and will later be loaded into your online account.

Quarterly

  • Your quarterly statement will be in your mailbox or made available online shortly after the close of each quarter. If you have selected e-delivery, you will receive an email notification that it is online.
  • You will receive our quarterly newsletter, Destination: Retirement, in your mailed quarterly statement or via email, depending on your communications preferences.
  • From time to time, INPRS initiates campaigns to promote new retirement education opportunities or to share new resources via email.
  • When we have changes to our investment portfolio, we will notify you.
  • If you are missing important account information, you will receive reminders to update missing data until it is complete.

When you make changes to your:

  • Contact information
  • Investments
  • Beneficiaries

Don’t miss out on important updates.

Keeping your information current and correct at myINPRSretirement.org will ensure we know where to contact you.

Using your personal email address and updating your mailing address if you move is essential.
