If you are a charter school and offer another retirement in addition to TRF, your employees have a one-time, irrevocable choice at the time of hire to participate in the TRF retirement plan or the other retirement plan offered by the charter school.

It is important to document each employee’s decision in your files showing this election. If the employee has elected to participate in the TRF plan, please send us a copy stating this decision. If the member has elected to participate in the other retirement plan, INPRS does not need a copy of that documentation.
