About This Project
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is developing plans for proposed State Road (S.R.) 227 Small Structures Improvement Project (DES 2200507), located approximately 4.60 miles north of S.R. 121 to approximately 7.86 miles north of S.R. 121, in Wayne County. 19 small structures will be replaced, and ditch work will be completed along this section of S.R. 227. Linear grading will occur to tie in existing roadside ditches along S.R. 227 and riprap will be placed at small structure ends for scour protection. The purpose of this project is to address noted deficiencies of the small structures, restore the barrel condition ratings to at least a 7 (good) out of 9 (excellent), and to address inadequate drainage along the roadway.
