The Ford Road bridge over I-865 will be replaced, beginning spring 2026. The project will replace a four-span, multi-girder bridge first constructed in 1964 and rehabilitated in 1981. The contractor, Rieth-Riley Construction Company Inc., will replace this structure with a two-span, continuous, pre-stressed concrete, bulb-tee bridge. The proposed bridge will support two 12-foot travel lanes with two 6-foot 4-inch shoulder and a 10-foot-wide multi-use path. The project is located in Boone County near Zionsville. The projected is expected to be complete in late fall 2026.
