I-69 Bridge Replacement over Peckhart Ditch

INDOT currently is in the process of replacing two I-69 bridges over Peckhart Ditch, just south of the State Road 8 interchange in DeKalb County.

The composite concrete girder bridges have deteriorated and are in need or replacement. The two-season project will remove the existing I-69 northbound and southbound bridges and replace them with new pre-stressed, concrete I-beam bridges.

The southbound bridge will be constructed this year, followed by the northbound bridge in 2016. Motorists should watch for lane restrictions throughout the year. Previously built crossovers in the medians will be used to shift traffic as the bridges are built.
