Adding a New Line of Authority to an Existing Indiana Resident License

A producer that wants to sell a line of insurance that was not included on their initial license must complete the same requirements as a first time licensee.  Please note that adding a new line of authority to a license does not affect the original date of expiration nor renew the license.

• Complete a Pre-licensing Education Course. To search for approved pre-licensing education courses, go to www.sircon.com/Indiana, select "Look Up Education Courses/Credits" and do an "Approved Courses Inquiry."
• Pass the IDOI Licensing Exam. Schedule an Exam. If issues arise with online scheduling, please contact Pearson VUE by calling (866) 895-0496, emailing pearsonvuecustomerservice@pearson.com, or chatting with an online representative through www.pearsonvue.com/in/insurance/contact.
• Submit a new license application and resident producer license fee of $40.00. Applications may be submitted online through either www.nipr.com (by selecting "Apply for License") or www.sircon.com/Indiana (by selecting "Apply for a License"). *All license application fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
