Program Components

The Community Corrections Division distributes funding assistance to local jurisdictions who have established community supervision programs or residential services for adult offenders that are re-integrating into the community who, otherwise, would be incarcerated in local jails or state prisons.

County Juvenile Detention Centers

The IDOC is responsible for conducting annual inspections of juvenile detention centers for compliance with the Indiana Juvenile Detention Standards, pursuant to 201 IAC 9. In the State of Indiana there are currently seventeen youth detention centers. Compliance with 100% of the mandatory standards and at least 90% of the recommended standards is necessary to attain “Full Compliance” with the afore mentioned code.
