See Our Progress (Summer 2024)
- Health First Indiana
- Current: See Our Progress
Introduction and Overall Summary
As a requirement of Senate Enrolled Act 4-2023, local health departments must report metrics on core public health service delivery. Reporting periods are in June and December. Local health departments reported their progress in core service areas like maternal and child health, trauma and injury prevention, chronic disease prevention and more.
These data provide vital information for local health departments to share ideas and collaborate with each other for core public health service delivery. In addition, survey data are helpful for the Indiana Department of Health and partners to determine how to best support local health departments with core public health service delivery.

Note that LHDs can fit into multiple groups depending on how they described their program. What is mentioned in section textboxes are items explicitly shared in qualitative write ups and may not be a comprehensive list of existing programming.
Note that all percentages have been rounded up to the nearest whole number to account for the unit of ‘whole health department’ as measured by this survey.
