Overview

Adolescence (ages 10 – 17) and young adulthood (ages 18 – 25) are crucial developmental periods with physical, emotional and intellectual changes. Teens and young adults also experience changes in social roles, relationships and expectations.

The Indiana Department of Health is working to improve the health of adolescents and young adults by implementing programming, strengthening the capacity of youth serving institutions and eliminating barriers that prohibit teens and young adults from achieving optimal health.
