The health and safety of our patients, families, and staff members is our top priority.  Our visitation guidelines balance preventing the spread of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 with the needs of our patients and their loved ones.

We continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in our community and may update the guidelines as needed to provide safe care to everyone.

Visitors must follow all safety precautions, even if vaccinated against COVID-19.  Open visitation may fluctuate depending on whether or not the hospital has been placed on quarantine.  Please contact the hospital to check status of open visitation.

Welcome

Please note: All visitors at Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center must follow the following guidelines, which are available by clicking here.

Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center takes an interdisciplinary approach that provides strategies for the child’s biological, psychological, and social treatment at the same time. All of our staff go through many hours of training to each play their important part in the approach. Youth are learning by two main methods, modeling and teaching, through therapeutic relationships established with the treatment staff.

Our staff believes in recovery and always approach situations with a trauma-informed frame of reference. We know that a program must balance warmth, caring, respect, and compassion with the right amount of firmness, realistic tolerances and excellent teaching to help children learn and grow.  We look forward to being a change agent for children and families in need.
