ANNUAL CVSO TRAINING 2016
WHEN: May 16 - May 19
WHERE: Atterbury Conference Center
Accomodations: There is lodging available on Camp Atterbury just down the road from the conference center. You may start calling for reservations mid-March to the housing office on the installation. 812-526-1128. $38/ night

Tentative Schedule:
Arrive noon on the 16th, briefings in the afternoon, evening dinner and social.
 Training on the 17th and 18th
 Certification exam morning of the 19th and closing comments, departure NLT noon.
Please bring a laptop if you have one. We will be doing some training on VetraSpec in small groups.
More details will follow as we finalize our schedule.
 

New Service Officer Orientations will be held as needed on the 3rd Monday of each month.  If this day falls on a state holiday the orientation date will be adjusted to the next working day after the holiday.  With the currently legislative session in full swing Fridays are usually a better option for parking until the session is over. We are very flexible in scheduling orientations during this time.

Please call Tim or Phil at the IDVA office to schedule your orientation date and get instructions for parking in the Government Center Garage.  New Serivce Officers should shedule their Orientation with IDVA within the first 30 days of their hire date. These are to be given to the veteran upon completion of state benefit applications.  CVSOs will need to add their office contact information and signature block at the bottom.

 For  Training Responsibility in Preparation of Claims (TRIP) Training review the chapters on this web page TRIP TRAINING . Once completed, email  kyle.e.schmidt@va.gov  with the date of completion, and county you work in to receive a TRIP training certificate.

Continuing Education Units Form  This must be completed by NACVSO accredited CVSOs and submitted annually to maintain accreditation.
