On August 2, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education (USED) approved the renewal of Indiana’s Application for the Educational Flexibility Program (Ed-Flex) through the 2028-2029 school year. This approval was granted after LEAs had the opportunity to provide public input regarding the waiver request.
- Waiver 1: Increased carryover percentage from 15% to 25%
- Waiver 2: Increased flexibility in paraprofessional requirements
- Waiver 3: Specific for Indiana Department of Corrections
- Waiver 4: Increased flexibility in Title IV-A fund use
