How to buy a license

Most licenses, including youth hunting licenses, are available from retailers, county clerks, and most DNR properties throughout the state. Find an authorized license vendor near you. Non-resident licenses are available at the state’s Customer Service Center in Indianapolis and most DNR properties. The DNR Customer Service Center is located in:

Send your order with the following:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Include a copy of hunter education certificate or card if born after Dec. 31, 1986
- Complete address, city, state, zip, phone number
- Height, weight, color of hair, and color of eyes
- Social Security number (this is mandatory)
- Specify the licenses including the season (i.e. deer for muzzleloader)
Send check, money order, or credit card number and expiration date for licenses made payable to Indiana DNR:

- Printer: You will need a printer to print your license. Please turn on and test your printer now by printing this page.
- Customer ID Number: Save your Customer ID number. The Customer ID number prints on the upper left-hand corner of your license, above your name and address. After you have a Customer ID number, all you need is that and your date of birth to purchase licenses online or at the retailer. Find your customer ID
- Personal Information: Information collected by the Indiana DNR will not be disclosed except as required by state or federal law. All social security numbers and/or credit card numbers are treated as 'Secured Data.' The DNR does not maintain credit card numbers on file.
