About the Division of Planning, Assessment, Training and Exercise
The Division of Planning, Assessment, Training and Exercise's mission statement is "A safer future for Indiana through effective planning, preparedness and training, committed to reducing the impact of disasters on Hoosier communities." The division is responsible for the oversight of statewide all-hazards emergency preparedness. This includes the development of statewide emergency management plans, preparing and educating emergency responders, exercising response capabilities throughout the state and assisting jurisdictions in successful grant management to better prepare communities.
