POST Course and Exam NOW Available!
- Click the link above to find study materials on POST and Advance Directives as well as the State approved exam that will satisfy the competency requirement.
- All responders must successfully complete the Acadis exam in order to be recertified by December 31, 2014. If you do not have this education indicated on your CE report and indicated on your Acadis record, you will not be renewed.
- This is in compliance with Section (d)(3) of 836 IAC 4-4-2.
- All EMR and EMT courses beginning or being completed after January 1, 2014 will be required to incorporate the POST curriculum into their training. The Acadis exam will need to be completed as verification of competency.

Certifications and Renewals
- Individual Certifications
All certifications must be renewed online. Paper copies of your INDIVIDUAL renewal will only be accepted if you get audited. All service providers, training institutions, and supervising hospital paperwork must still be submitted on paper.
IDHS EMS Certifications will not be issuing paper copies of your re-certification by mail. If you wish to have a paper copy of your renewed certification, you may go to your portal account and print off your renewed document. We will be issuing paper copies of any responder’s initial certification via mail.

- Vehicle Crash Report
The vehicle crash report is now an online submission. In compliance with IAC 836, all Certified EMS Providers must submit a vehicle accident report as required by the EMS Commission when a provider vehicle is involved in a motor vehicle accident. Reports must be received within 10 working days following the accident. It is the responsibility of the organization CEO to make sure that the report is filed in a timely fashion and completed in its entirety. Failure to comply will result in enforcement of the penalties outlined in IC 16-31-3.
