Aaron Atwell
Chief of Staff
Aaron Atwell joined the agency as chief financial officer in October 2020. As chief of staff, he leads a team of executives who oversee 4,100+ employees and an annual billion-dollar operating budget. Before coming to DCS, Atwell helped guide state agencies with budget decisions as an assistant director overseeing the health and human services division of the State Budget Agency. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana.
