Indiana Courts Portal Terms of Use

The Indiana Courts Portal (the "Portal") is a platform for online services provided by the Indiana Supreme Court.

Portal Uses

Attorneys and judges may use the portal to access and change their Roll of Attorneys information and make their annual registration payments pursuant to Ind. Admission and Discipline Rule 2. Attorneys in good standing may also use the Portal to cast their ballot electing new members of the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission in their home district when an election occurs (Ind. Code 33-27-2).

Attorneys are required by Ind. Admission and Discipline Rule 2 to update their contact information with the Office of Admissions and Continuing Education within 30 days of the change. Contact information in the Roll of Attorneys shall be publicly available for electronic service of e-filed documents. As such, failure to keep this information up-to-date and regularly check this email account could have consequences for attorneys and their clients.

Attorneys and judges may use their Portal credentials to sign into Access to cases and documents on is limited to Indiana attorneys with a license that is active and in good standing, including attorneys with temporary admission.

Mediators may use the Portal to access and change their contact information, practice information, and make their annual registration payments pursuant to Ind. Alternative Dispute Resolution Rule 2.3.

Attorneys, judges, and mediators may also check their continuing education credits as reported to and approved by the Commission for Continuing Legal Education and make payments to the Commission.

Attorneys, judges, and mediators may authorize others to use the Portal on their behalf with a separate administrator account; however, attorneys, judges and mediators remain responsible for the information submitted on their behalf by their account administrators, including the timely payment of annual registration fees.

Other invited users, including court reporters and court interpreters, may use the Portal to submit information and pay fees with the Indiana Supreme Court or one of its agencies.

Limited Right to Use

Access to and use of this site and its contents are permitted only by users who register on the Portal to access services provided by any of the following Indiana state judicial entities: Indiana Supreme Court; Court of Appeals; Tax Court; Clerk of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court; Office of Admissions & Continuing Education; Indiana Office of Court Services; Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission; and the Indiana Supreme Court's Office of Judicial Administration. Any other access to or use of this site or its contents is prohibited.

The Portal may not be used to impersonate another person or misrepresent authorization to act on behalf of others. All information transmitted through the site should correctly identify the sender; you may not alter the attribution of origin in electronic information or transactions. Users who are delegated security options to act on behalf of other users must establish and use their own accounts on the Portal to act on the other's behalf. Account Administrators may not make modifications to an Account Holder’s account using the Account Holder’s user name and password.

By registering, you certify that the information you provide is accurate and pertains only to you. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password you provide. Your password may not be shared with any other person.

No user of the Portal may (1) take any action that imposes an unreasonable load on the site's infrastructure; (2) use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the site or any activity being conducted on the site; (3) attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or making up the site; (4) delete or alter any material posted by any other person or entity; or (5) frame or link to any of the materials or information available from the site.

When retrieving information from the Portal, you are prohibited from (1) using or attempting to use spiders, robots, avatars, intelligent agents, or any other extraction or navigation search except for a normal browser; (2) aggregating, copying or duplicating any of the materials or information available from the site except for the small amount of materials and information temporarily required for an ordinary single use of the site; or (3) accessing data not intended for such use.

You are authorized to access, use and copy information and materials available through the Portal only as necessary for the proper use of the site's online services. The information and materials, including pages and content, may not be copied, distributed, modified, published, or transmitted in any other manner, including for use for creative work or to sell or promote other products. Violation of this policy may result in infringement of intellectual property and contractual rights of the Indiana Supreme Court, Indiana Interactive, LLC, or other parties, which is prohibited by law and could result in civil and criminal penalties.

Right to Change the Portal

The Supreme Court may discontinue, edit, delete or change any aspect of the Portal, including, but not limited to: (i) restricting availability times, (ii) restricting compatibility with certain computer software or hardware, (iii) restricting amounts of use permitted, and (iv) restricting, suspending or terminating any user's right to use the Portal, at the Indiana Supreme Court’s sole discretion and without prior notice or liability.

Who Owns This Portal?

The Portal is developed and maintained by Indiana Interactive, LLC, under contract with the Department of Administration, on the Indiana Supreme Court's behalf. The Indiana Supreme Court is responsible for the Portal, public records, information and services provided through the Department of Administration's service contract.


This Agreement shall be treated as though it were executed and performed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana (without regard to conflict of law principles). Any cause of action by you with respect to the Portal (and/or any information, products or services related thereto) must be instituted within one (1) year after the cause of action arose or be barred. All legal proceedings arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be brought solely in Marion County, Indiana. You expressly submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of said courts and consent to extra-territorial service of process. The language in this Agreement shall be interpreted as to its fair meaning and not strictly for or against either party. Should any part of this Agreement be held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed consistent with the applicable law and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. To the extent that anything in or associated with the Portal is in conflict or inconsistent with this Agreement, this Agreement shall take precedence. Any delay or failure by the Indiana Supreme Court or Indiana Interactive, LLC, to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not be deemed a waiver of such provision nor of the right to enforce such provision. No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach or default. The titles and subtitles used in this Agreement are used for convenience only and are not to be considered in construing or interpreting this Agreement.
