Online dashboard available for attorneys
The Indiana Supreme Court’s Office of Court Technology has launched an online tool designed for attorneys to manage information in an organized fashion related to their cases. The tool provides attorneys one convenient location for viewing pending cases in which they are listed as an active attorney of record. The Attorney Dashboard, accessible to attorneys who sign into mycase.in.gov, has five valuable components:
- Dashboard – displays the number of new e-notices sent from the courts, the number of hearings scheduled for the attorney today and tomorrow, announcements from the Office of Judicial Administration, and quick links to other available resources
- My Cases – lists the attorney’s pending cases (which can be filtered by county)
- e-Notice – displays e-notices by the current date and the preceding 30 days
- Hearings – the attorney’s scheduled hearings for cases on a selected date
- Resources – access to other online court tools, MyCase, and various court services
Mary DePrez, Executive Director of the Office of Court Technology, notes the tool’s impressive features will create efficiencies for lawyers, “the goal of the dashboard is to create a place where attorneys can access information from the courts for their cases on one platform. We are excited to make this new tool available and will continue to finetune the functionality and add additional enhancements to the dashboard.”
Members of the public have free access to non-confidential case information at mycase.in.gov. Contact the court where the case is heard with any questions about a case including requests for documents that are not available online. Many other online services—including watching trial court hearings, searching protection orders, applying for marriage licenses, and calculating child support—are also available to the public at public.courts.in.gov.
