The BMV has issued refunds for overcharges discovered in connection with various fees paid by its customers. Affected customers have automatically received credits, to be applied toward their next transaction with the BMV. Those who have not already applied their credit to a recent BMV transaction and instead wish to obtain a refund in the form of a check mailed to them by the BMV may do so by completing the information below.

The refunds issued in connection with previous fee adjustments are different from any credit or refund an individual may have in connection with the class action lawsuit regarding fee overcharges for a driver’s license entitled Raab v. Waddell and Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, in Marion County Superior Court, Civil Division, Room No. 12, Cause No. 49D12-1303-PL-008769. As of August 27, 2021, all funds have been transferred to Indiana Unclaimed Property per the Settlement Agreement. Class members who have not already claimed their refund may perform a search with the Indiana Unclaimed Property Division website.
