Jeanette Pomeroy-Parssi was the second Maker-in-Residence in the Ignite Studio. An accomplished artist and teacher, Jeanette is a faculty member at Interlochen in Michigan, where she teaches summer camps annually (she travels to in MI in the summers).

Jeanette recently moved to Fishers from Florida, and did not have many local connections, so she applied for the residency at Ignite to try to connect with the arts community. During her residency, she taught a few classes and developed a network of students and artists that she has been able to leverage to grow her business. Since her residency ended, she has started multiple new classes in nearby locations and continues to cultivate opportunities at Ignite. She has become a leading force in the Fishers area arts scene and we are so lucky that our Cultural District's assets brought her out of the woodwork!
