Northern Indiana Highlights

2022-2023 Fine Arts Exhibit

Fine Arts is a core program within Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana, developing creativity and cultural awareness through the appreciation of art. Indiana Arts Commission will support the continuation and enhancement of the Fine Arts program that supplements and reinforces academic success of young people. The program will engage approximately 200 students and give access to trained professionals, supplies, and recognition through Club and public exhibits. The project aims to enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual and fine arts— including traditional mediums like painting, drawing, and photography— as well as digital arts projects such as game design, digital photography, and stop-motion animation. Members can also participate in ceramics, dance, and music production.

As some community schools struggle with arts funding, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana aim to supplement the school day by providing further opportunities for creative expression through arts activities.
