Appointments and Cancellations

Additional appointments have been added to the scheduler. Branches are now accepting appointments through July 31, 2020. If you are unable to find an appointment, please note, all BMV branches are back to regular operating hours and accepting walk-in customers.

BMV branches have implemented operational changes for the safety and security of customers and employees. These changes will be an adjustment for everyone and we ask everyone to practice patience when visiting a branch.

Expiration Date and Late Fee Extensions

Through Executive Order, Governor Holcomb waived Administrative Penalty Fees (late fees) through June 30, 2020. This waiver has ended.

Hoosiers holding a driver’s license, permit, state identification card, or vehicle registration card that has expired need to take immediate action to complete a renewal by visiting a branch, using online services through myBMV, visiting a BMV Connect kiosk, or mailing in a renewal. If you renewed after the June 30 deadline and believe you are entitled to a Refund of Administrative Penalty Fees, please use the ‘Request a Refund of Admin Penalty’ eform found on

As a reminder, when you schedule an appointment, only the appointment customer and parent/guardian will be allowed in the branch at the time of appointment.

The following transaction types are the only transactions available for appointment scheduling:

  • Amend Driver License/Learner Permit/Identification Card
  • Commercial Driver License
  • Disability Placard
  • Knowledge Testing
  • New Driver License/Learner Permit/Identification Card (drive testing is suspended until further notice)
  • New Registration
  • Renew Driver License/Learner Permit/Identification Card
  • Replacement License/Learner Permit/Identification Card
  • Transfer a Title
  • Update to an existing Title

Welcome to the Indiana BMV online scheduling service.

You MUST cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend for ANY reason.
