Appointments and Cancellations

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and local Work One Career Service Centers have implemented operational changes for the safety and security of customers and employees. These changes will be an adjustment for everyone and we ask everyone to practice patience when visiting an office.

DWD Indiana Government Center Services

As a reminder, individuals must apply for unemployment benefits online using a computer, tablet or smart phone. Online filing information can be found at Individuals seeking assistance with an unemployment claim will be directed to contact the Unemployment Insurance Call Center at 1-800-891-6499 or 317-232-7560 (TDD).

Please note that DWD front office staff do not have access to confidential unemployment insurance (UI) information and cannot resolve UI claims.

If you need access to a computer to file your claims, appointments are available at the Indiana Government Center or at various WorkOne locations around the state. Only the appointment customer and up to one other individual will be permitted at a computer terminal at a time to ensure proper social distancing.

Work One Career Service Centers

WorkOne Career Centers offer a variety of services to Job Seekers looking to enter the workforce, return to the workforce or locate education and training opportunities. Your local WorkOne can provide computer labs, resume workshops, and career counseling, all at no cost, to give you the competitive edge needed for a successful job search. Please note that WorkOne staff do not have access to confidential UI information and cannot resolve UI claims.
