Edwardsville Water Authority, which serves customers in Floyd and Harrison Counties, received approval of its current rates in December 2015.

The utility initially requested a 17.7% rate increase in a case that is currently pending.

A settlement agreement is pending and would allow for a 14.5% increase if approved by the Commission.  The monthly residential bill for 5,000 gallons would rise by $6.63.

The OUCC filed supporting testimony on Apr. 26, 2024

All publicly filed documents in the case (Cause No. 45997) are available on the Commission's website.

The OUCC issued a Feb. 7, 2024 news release to invite comments.

Most rate cases take approximately 300 days to complete, and a final order from the IURC is expected in Fall 2024. The OUCC's timeline outlines the steps in the process.
